Tennis has to be the perfect sport. I think I might have said this already, but the more I learn about it and watch my girls grow from both the physical and mental aspects of it I am so grateful they play. It was fun to watch them play in this last tournament. A photo of Manth this time around.
"What a mess of forbidden love" -Isaac (as he was eating his cinnamon roll this afternoon in the car)
(brother... the drama)
I suppose I should make more treats if this is forbidden love. We had to run and get bread before tennis and I thought the children would enjoy a treat. Who knew it would be so scandalous.
The Australian Open is the only source of conversation with the girls right now. The DVR is being strained by all hours of the tennis. Huge upsets when both the Williams sisters were eliminated. There was wailing, quite literally when Venus lost yesterday, but I was informed that her new tennis lines are "very cute" and they have available spending money so all hope is not lost.
This is for the big girls... they are hoping Nadal can create an upset and dethrone Federer.
she made the High school tennis team.... as a freshman. We are so excited.
She has only been playing tennis for 3 years (she says the first one doesn't really count). She has only been playing matches this last month and mostly doubles. Tryouts were singles... she was stressed, but she did it!!!
Of course I think she is amazing. I'm her mother. But she can only see out of one eye, so she has no depth perception... which makes this even more amazing to me.
My girls have all been playing tennis all summer. The big girls are more involved at this point with muliple tennis camps and now they are currently in a state tournament. It's going to be a busy week of tennis around here.
