I wasn't paying attention and they two turned about about 3 inches longer than the red ones. It will be a fun mix once they are all up next Christmas. I am eager to get back to my applique so I need to finish the orange stockings soon.
Christmas decorations are stored for the year, but I'm still working on these stockings. I have a couple more to hopefully post in a couple of days. I don't know how many more I will do right now, but it's a start.
Working he toe and the heel on this one with the same pattern was more difficult than I had planned, but I love the pattern variation. I will have to work out a few kinks before I attempt another stitch. (is it called a stitch in knitting?)
Here is my great helper. I still need to work out a great place to photograph the projects here in the new house, but it's nice she is so willing.
< Our Christmas cards are hung where everyone can enjoy them and the babies have not torn up any. I think we are moving into a new phase. The Winnie the Pooh cards are their favorites.
I am a slow knitter. I finally finished stocking number two and I'm working on the third. It will be a while before this project is completed. A few children have requested orange striped and purple striped stockings. We'll have to see.
I finally found my favorite stocking pattern. I can't remember where it came from, probably one of mom's books as it's a photocopied paper.
It's knitted, the other stockings I made are crocheted. I think I prefer the look and feel of the knitting than the crochet. I also like the stitch variation and patterns that I can create. More stockings to come.
