Rhonna and I are working on the final slides, coordinating with the last of the guest speakers (can't wait to announce who they are), and generally finalizing the last minute details of everything from the after party to the workbook. It's been a remarkable journey from conception to where we are today and we hope that it will meet the expectations of everyone involved.
The concept came during a meeting in early 2017 when Rhonna posed the question, "wouldn't it be great if we could gather together and talk about family history that was different than what is normally done." I had just taught a Sunday School class as was given the help section of FamilySearch as my lesson manual so I wanted to create something that was a little more engaging and lovely. Don't get me wrong the help section of FamilySearch is a valuable resource that I have used many times, it's just not meant for lessons. So we got approval and got to work. The beginning from the end look very different, but the insight and knowledge learned along the way are invaluable.
