I know I shouldn't have favorites and really I don't, but this particular stage Brick is in is a favorite. He has the sweetest disposition. He is kind and thoughtful. He is mischievous and everything a little boy should be, but he's not intentionally hurtful. I don't know how to describe all that he is, words wouldn't do him justice.
He is one of the first boys to wake up in the morning. He loves homework and immediately starts studying or drawing some masterpiece. He is naughty about baths and would prefer not to take them. He eats constantly. He is never full. There is always a 10pm fruit course that needs to happen so he can sleep through the night. Bedtime is a challenge, he doesn't like going to bed. He might miss something and comes upstairs constantly. Anytime anyone asks something of him you will always hear, "Wait, What?" Every single time. It is annoyingly charming. He's off in his own little world, but still conscious enough to know that you are speaking to him.
He has a smile that melts your heart. He is the sweetest little man around, except for when he is sneaking food or tormenting Ellie. I am so thankful to be his mother. I love the hugs and kisses, nice big permanent kisses that can leave you a little bruised on the cheek. I love his little voice that doesn't quite match his big body. I love the accent that he speaks with, unlike anything you have ever heard and we have no idea where it came from.
I love you little man. Thank you for being my son.
