I had the opportunity last spring to help make a demo using Tim Holtz's new fabric line called "Eclectic Elements". It was such a fun project to work on. I quilt much like I scrapbook and using one line was quite challenging, because I love to mix and match and add renegade fabrics and colors to keep the eye moving. However it was really wonderful to work with Tim's line and make it work for me.
He has some amazing pieces and it is a really great line. I can't wait to get back into my studio (one the current tenants finish their projects) and play with it some more. The backgrounds so lovely!
The wall hanging was going to originally be for the quilt market booth (you can se images here, it was lovely. Another look Paula has some great tutorials on many of the items in the booth.), but it ended up being used in another area. If you ever get a chance to go to market take it. It is an amazing place!
Thank you Tim and Paula for the opportunity to help and create something wonderful. Thank you to my mom who helped as I hobbled along in my boot and scooter while I worked on this. It was wonderful to be designing again.
I wish I had taken more photos of the details or even a good one of the main quilt, but this all happened at couple of weeks before surgery so it's good that I got what I got. When I get the quilt back I will have to snap a few more to post.
The next picutres were taken from Paula's blog. Thank you Paula for taking pictures of market and the quilt.
