Arnold recently returned from a humanitarian trip to Peru. I don't know if you remember that she went to Fiji last year. She loved her experience so much that she saved her money all year long so she could go again.
We were so happy to get her home last week. All the children screamed and jumped on her, it was a joyous reunion. We heard all about her trip (we didn't have any communication with her while she was gone) and she gave the everyone little gifts.
Can you imagine the tears that came flowing down my face as I opened her memory card and in the midst of all the wonderful things she saw and experienced I found this beautiful message,
"Thank you for giving me the world."
It's moments like these that make the turbulent times of motherhood vanish into a faint memory of growth. How blessed we are.
