I feel quite confident in finally making this announcement:
LOAF IS POTTY TRAINED!
Now go ahead and roll you eyes at the trivial nature of this post and how meaningful this announcement is to me. I'm not going to let it affect my glee. To help illustrate the magnitude of this announcement let me share some facts. I found them on-line so they must be accurate. (Insert silly laugh.)
The average child has approximately 6 diaper changes per day, resulting in 2,190 diapers per year.
At two years the number is up to 4,380 diapers per child. Only 3 of the 9 were successfully potty trained at the age of two: Munch, Arnold, and Fred (4,380 x 3 = 13, 140).
At three years the number is 6,570 diapers per child. The remaining 6 fell into this category: Gus, Rock, Tank, Brick, Dash, and Loaf (6,570 x 6 = 39,420).
The grand total of diapers changed is approximately
52,560.
Now I will concede that I did not change all 52,560 diapers by myself, but I changed most and I'm so happy to say that after nearly 20 years of diapers I am glad to be taking a break. The break does not mean we are having another baby, I just foresee some diaper changing as a grandmother and I will be thrilled to help when the time comes. However for the moment I'm basking in the beautiful realization that my babies are no longer babies.
Now if could get them to pick up after themselves is a completely different matter

Congrats. A landmark day indeed.

Love the day that you can say it! That is shout it from the rooftop exciting. Our middle child was almost 4 *shudder*. It was painful for everyone. With our 3rd, I was determined not to push it. He pretty much potty trained himself just after he turned 3. Yeah Loaf!

Oh, that's really a milestone!
I remember when my little lady told me, she won't use her diapers anymore - as she's a big girl now!
Congratulations, Loaf!

This totally made me laugh! At first when I saw it I thought you were making another announcement for number 10, and I was giddy...but then I read that it you reached a huge milestone....and I became giddy for you and house free of nappies (Aussie speak for diapers). Congrats to you and Loaf! What exciting news!
