She spent two and a half weeks doing this, building a bathroom in a village outside of Suva, Fiji. The work was hard. She was exhausted and so very happy. She was humbled by the village and the sacrifice the people made to feed them. The children tore open her heart when they called her name. She made life long friends.
She never understood how you could love a group of people in such a short time. She sobbed and sobbed when it was time to leave. Her life is forever changed.
We rushed to her at the airport with flowers, hugs, and kisses. We cried and hugged some more. Arnold and I stayed up until 3am hearing about her adventures, crying for a people what will always hold a sacred place in her heart. My darling baby girl is home full of faith and determination to make a change in the world at large.
My bed was crowded last night (not unusual: see here, and here, and here), but never was there a happier place.

Oh you made me cry! I'm so glad she had the opportunity to experience that, she is an amazing girl!
