I must confess that although the bobbles are a favorite, I think I prefer having them spaced out a little more.
Multiple of 10+5
Work 1-4 rows in st st (stocking stitch: knit row, purl row, repeating), starting with knit.
Row 5: k7, *make bobble, k9; repeat from* to last 8 stitches, make bobble, k7.
Work 6-10 rows in st st.
Row 11: k2, *make bobble, k9; repeat form * to last 3 stitches, make bobble, k2.
Row 12: purl row
Repeat these 12 rows.
To make bobble:
knit into front, back and front of next stitch,
turn and k3, turn and p3,
turn and k3,
turn and slip 1 stitch,
k2tog, psso.
Here is a clip on how to make this bobble.
I found that I prefer the yarn over method better and this clip is most helpful.
