Little man is now officially a member of the family. I didn't anticipate the trepidation the younger children had that the judge would find something wrong and deny our petition of adoption, but then if I was feeling it of course they would.
(I'm not posting photos because most include the judge)
Rcok was a little upset and with all this little four year old courage told the judge (who was so kind and sweet with all the other children) that he wanted to vote and how come he didn't get to vote and say that he wanted his baby brother. It was so sweet and the judge was very moved.
While on the stand the lawyer asked what my feelings were towards "the baby"? It felt so strange to think that under the law he was not my son and yet with every fiber of my body he is my son. Of course I had to choke back the tears and find words to express the love and joy he has brought to my life. To all our lives, he is so precious and beautiful.
We are so very grateful to have the adoption finalized. Now we look forward to the sealing.
This big man learned to say "yellow" correctly a couple of days ago. It's really quite sad for me. He is our only child that said "leyow". All the others said either "lellow" or "yeyow"... but those are gone. He is so pleased, the satisfaction on his face as he walks around saying "yellow" is delightful.
